J.T. and the Sweat Auto Center #1SAC Team were disappointed not being able to compete and also would like to send out an apology to all the loyal fans that were looking forward to seeing him gas it around the 3/8 mile high-banked clay oval. This weekend Stapp and the #1SAC Maxim Team looks to change their luck and finish off the last month of this 2011 Racing Season strong! Plans are to start the weekend off at the ¼ mile semi-banked clay oval of the Gas City I69 Speedway in Gas City Indiana on Friday Night September 23rd. PLEASE CHECK BACK SOON FOR RACE RESULTS, SCHEDULE CHANGES, AND TO SEE WHERE “THE TREE CITY TORNADO” WILL BE RACING AT NEXT!! ---------------------------------------------- 9/15/11 - THE ORIGINAL TREE CITY TORNADO was back in action over the long Holiday Weekend. It all started on Saturday Night September 3rd at the Legendary Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg Indiana. J.T. and the Sweat Auto Center Maxim started the night off fast in Hot Laps. He would line up 7th in the Heat Race and come to 5th place at the end to transfer directly to the 25 Lap A-Main, despite the car hiking the left rear big time going into turn 1 with about 3 Laps to go. Stapp saved the car from turning over and nursed it home with no left rear spring, as the left rear torsion arm bolt came out allowing the arm to fall down out of the birdcage. J.T. was scheduled to start 13th in the A-Main, but when he pushed off he noticed something critical was wrong! He didn’t have any throttle! He was forced to pull into the infield and watch the entire feature from the top of his roll cage. Very frustrating indeed! The team would try to rebound the following night at the ¼ mile semi-banked clay oval of the Kokomo Speedway in Kokomo Indiana. It didn’t happen though, because of more unfortunate luck as the spool inside the rear end broke in Hot Laps also destroying the ring & pinion. “THE TREE CITY TORNADO” and the #1SAC will be back in action this Saturday Night with a fresh rear end and a positive outlook! The Sweat Auto Center Maxim will be back at the Legendary Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg Indiana on the super fast 3/8 mile high-banked clay oval. PLEASE CHECK BACK SOON FOR RACE RESULTS FROM “THE BURG” AND TO SEE WHERE “THE TREE CITY TORNADO” WILL BE RACING AT NEXT!! ---------------------------------------------- 9/3/11 - The Original “TREE CITY TORNADO” was in action over this past weekend. It was a very tough weekend with bad luck Winning out on 2 nights of racing. It all started on Friday Night August 26th at the Gas City I69 Speedway in Gas City Indiana. A tough field of 30 Sprint Cars greeted Stapp and the Sweat Auto Center #1SAC Sprinter. Hot Laps went well and it was time for Heat Race action where J.T. would make a charge from the tail in the first few circuits only to be taken out by a spinning car that he could not avoid. “The Tree City Tornado” would line up shot gun on the field in the 14th spot for the 12 Lap B-Main. Stapp made a great charge passing several cars in the first half of the race, standing on the gas and leaning on the rowdy Gas City Cushion until he hauled it into turn 3 and the left rear came off the ground big time! He saved the car from turning over, but lost too much time to the leaders and couldn’t recover in time for a transfer spot. Saturday night August 27th brought J.T. to the Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville Indiana. It was a tough night, as he was very fast in Hot Laps and passed 4 cars from the tail early in his Heat Race, only to suffer a DNF, due to a right rear torsion arm that stripped the splines out. This would end Stapp's night early. "The TREE CITY TORNADO" looks to rebound this Saturday Night September 3rd at the Legendary Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg Indiana. J.T. finished a solid 10th just a few weeks ago on a very heavy and fast track. Preliminary plans are for Stapp and the Sweat Auto Center Maxim to compete on Sunday Night at the 1/4 mile semi-banked clay oval of the Kokomo Speedway in Kokomo Indiana. This would be J.T.'s first trip to the track since 1998, when he raced a U.M.R.A. T.Q. Midget on the old flat 1/4 mile configuration. PLEASE CHECK BACK SOON FOR RACE RESULTS AND TO SEE WHERE "THE TREE CITY TORNADO" WILL BE RACING AT NEXT!! ---------------------------------------------- 8/24/11 - The Original “TREE CITY TORNADO” is hoping to be back in action this Friday and Saturday nights for an Awesome 2 Race Weekend! Plans are to start the weekend off on Friday August 26th at the ¼ mile semi-banked clay oval of the Gas City I69 Speedway in Gas City Indiana. J.T. will be looking for a better night than the one that greeted him and the SAC #1 Team two weeks ago. On Saturday night August 27th Stapp will head to the 5/16 mile high-banked clay oval of the Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville Indiana. Last season Stapp and the Sweat Owned #Wee3 Sprinter Won their Heat Race and came home 11th in the 25 Lap A-Main. There were over 40 Sprint Cars in the Pits on that night! The “TREE CITY TORNADO” and the Sweat Auto Center #1 SAC Maxim are looking forward to a great weekend of racing on a couple of Indiana’s best bullrings!! PLEASE CHECK BACK SOON FOR RACE RESULTS AND TO SEE WHERE J.T. AND THE SAC TEAM WILL BE RACING AT NEXT!! ---------------------------------------------- 8/16/11 - The Original “TREE CITY TORNADO” was back in action for the first 2 races of his 2011 season. It all started off on Friday August 12th at the ¼ mile semi-banked clay oval of the Gas City I69 Speedway in Gas City Indiana. J.T. started the evening off running in 2nd place in his Heat Race when another car ran over the top of his hood and the down tubes. This meant he would restart the Heat Race from the tail and just miss the transfer spot. Stapp fought an ill handling machine and finished outside the transfer spot in the B-Main as well. It was the first time he had drove the Maxim Chassis in over 2 years that had brought him so much success in 2008 & 2009. Saturday night August 13th Stapp would take to the super fast 3/8 mile high-banked clay oval of the Legendary Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg Indiana. The track was super heavy and fast all night long! J.T. would be fast in Hot Laps and backed it up with a solid 4th place finish in his Heat Race, right on the tail of the 3rd place car, after starting 6th. The “TREE CITY TORNADO” would line up 11th in the 21 car starting field and bring home his first Top 10 Run of the Season with a solid 10th place finish in the 25 Lap A-Main. The “TREE CITY TORNADO” hopes to be back in action very soon!! PLEASE CHECK BACK SOON TO SEE WHEN & WHERE STAPP WILL BE RACING AT NEXT!! NEW ACTION PHOTOS COMING VERY SOON!! ---------------------------------------------- 8/10/11 - The Original “TREE CITY TORNADO” did not get to compete at the Legendary Lawrenceburg Speedway this past Saturday night due to a few last minute things that needed to be checked on the #1SAC Sprinter before it was ready to do battle at the high level of competition necessary. J.T. apologizes to his loyal fans and sponsors and wants to assure them he will be in action this Friday Night August 12th at the Gas City I69 Speedway in Gas City Indiana. Stapp last competed at the track in a U.M.R.A. T.Q. Midget in 2004 and a Sprint Car in 2003 & 2001. He is looking forward to getting back and racing on the 1/4 mile semi-banked clay oval. J.T. and the SAC Team also plan to compete on Saturday Night August 13th at either the Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville Indiana or the Legendary Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg Indiana. He will be driving the Jeff & Josh Sweat, SAC Engines #1SAC Maxim Chevy. The car was much better from adjustments made and “The Tree City Tornado” would come from 7th to pass for 3rd going in turn 3 on Lap 7 when the rear axle snapped just inside from the left rear birdcage. The Original “TREE CITY TORNADO” was in action Saturday night in the American Sprint Car Tour event at the Vermilion County Speedway in Danville Illinois driving the Wee 3 Racing Team SAC Stealth. J.T. started the night off fast in Hot Laps. In Heat Race action Stapp got trapped on the bottom on the initial start and could not recover in time to transfer to the A-Main. He would start 13th in the B-Main and race his way all the way to 5th just one spot from going to the Feature. Stapp and the Wee 3 Team were eligible for a provisional but were denied that opportunity by the series and track promoters. “The TREE CITY TORNADO” will try to rebound from a tough night of racing this Friday night October 15th at the Final ASCT race and final race of the season for the Wee 3 Team. This will be the 13th ASCT race and 21st show overall on the year for J.T. and the Sweat owned #Wee 3 Sprinter. The Original “TREE CITY TORNADO” was back in action Saturday night August 21st at the 5/16-mile high-banked clay oval of the Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville Indiana. The racetrack was heavy and rough early with a very stout 45 Sprint Cars in the Pits. J.T. and the Wee 3 Racing Team started the night out fast in Hot Laps. Stapp continued his blistering pace coming home with his first Heat Race Win of the year. He drew the 0 pill to start the field straight up for the 25 Lap A-Main. That meant J.T. would start 5th in the 21 car-starting field. When the green flag dropped Stapp was fighting a loose racecar after significant track changes due to the Lincoln Park staff grading and reworking the racetrack. J.T. would be hit from behind 5 Laps into the race and spun. He would rejoin the field at the tail. The “TREE CITY TORNADO” stormed his way from the tail to finish 11th when the checkered finally dropped.
CHECK BACK SOON TO SEE WHERE THE “TREE CITY
TORNADO” & THE WEE 3 RACING
The Original “TREE CITY TORNADO” was in action Saturday night August 7th at the ¼ mile semi-banked clay oval of the Shady Hill Speedway in Medaryville Indiana. It was J.T.’s second trip to the facility but first in a Sprint Car. He previously ran at the facility in 2000 driving a UMRA T.Q. Midget. The evening would start out extremely well for the Wee 3 Racing Team #Wee 3 Sprinter trading the lead back and forth in the Heat Race and ending up 2nd at the finish. J.T. and the Wee 3 Team struggled a bit in the Dash ending up 4th at the checkered. Stapp would start 4th in the 25 Lap American Sprint Car Tour Feature event. When the green flag dropped J.T. immediately drove under Danny Williams Jr. to take the 3rd spot and on the next circuit would dive under Mike Jonas to move into 2nd. The battle was not over there as Williams and Jonas would try to challenge him throughout most of the A-Main. The “TREE CITY TORNADO” stuck to his line running the cushion just a few inches off the wall and only getting off the cushion when passing lapped cars as he drove the Wee 3 machine to his best Feature Finish of the season and best Career Feature Finish for Jim, Josh, Jeff, and Greg Sweat of the Wee 3 Racing Team. Stapp still sets 2nd in the current ASCT Driver Standings and the Wee 3 Racing Team are now leading the way in the current ASCT Owner Standings. J.T. wishes to thank Jim, Josh, Jeff, and Greg Sweat for making this all possible and he is looking forward to finishing the 2010 season strong. CHECK BACK SOON FOR RACE RESULTS AND UPDATES!!
The Original “TREE CITY TORNADO” stormed into Tony Stewart’s Eldora Speedway Saturday night July 31st. The ½ mile high-banked clay oval was uncharacteristically heavy after the rain earlier in the day. It made the track extremely fast throughout the night. J.T. started the night off fast in Hot Laps and in qualifying turned a lap of 17.647 at an average lap speed of over 102 mph and over 130 mph at the end of the straightaways. The car was tight and cost Stapp some time on the clock. He got the car freed up in the Heat Race and was able to run the car wide open on the cushion and finished 7th. He started 19th in the 25 Lap A-Main and finished 15th but was scored 17th in the final rundown. There were line-up and scoring issues the entire night unfortunately. The “TREE CITY TORNADO” will be back in action this Saturday night driving the Wee 3 Racing Team # Wee 3 Sprinter in the American Sprint Car Tour event at the ¼ mile semi-banked clay oval of the Shady Hill Speedway in Medaryville Indiana. Stapp last raced at the facility in 2000 at a UMRA T.Q. Midget race, where he finished 4th in the A-Main. CHECK BACK SOON FOR RACE RESULTS AND UPDATES!!
The Original “TREE CITY TORNADO” and the Wee 3 Racing Team are refreshed and ready to go after the weekend off. J.T. will be standing on the gas this Saturday night July 31st at the ½ mile high-banked clay oval of the Historic Eldora Speedway in Rossburg Ohio!! Last time Stapp raced at the ½ mile speed plant was at the Mopar Million in 2003. It was the creation of Earl Baltes and was and still is the highest paying Sprint Car Race in History. J.T. grew up watching his heroes at Eldora since his first show there in 1984. Sammy Swindell, Doug Wolfgang, Steve Kinser, Rich Vogler, Jack Hewitt, and Jac Haudenschild are just a few of Stapp’s heroes that he has learned from, on those many nights watching from Turn 4 or Turn 1 in a lawn chair. Now he has the chance to put that knowledge to use for the first time in almost 7 years. This will be the 17th race of the season for The “TREE CITY TORNADO and the Wee 3 Racing Team. CHECK BACK SOON FOR RACE RESULTS AND UPDATES!!
The Original “TREE CITY TORNADO” was in action Saturday night July 17th at ¼ mile high-banked dirt oval of the Mt. Vernon Raceway in Mt. Vernon Illinois. This was the 10th American Sprint Car Tour event of the year and 16th race of the season overall for J.T. and the Wee 3 Racing Team. The night started off well despite a slight miss in the motor with a 3rd place run in his Heat Race, which was good enough to transfer to the Dash. Stapp would finish 4th in the 6 Lap Dash and that would mean he would line-up 4th for the 25 Lap A-Main. Stapp would come across the line in 7th, as he fought mechanical gremlins. This would still be the 11th Top 10 of the season for “The Tree City Tornado” and the Wee 3 Racing Team. J.T. would like to thank all of his sponsors for their continued support as well as the whole Wee 3 Racing Team of Josh, Jeff, Greg, and Jim Sweat. They are great guys to drive for and their dedication is second to none.
Stapp and the Wee 3 Team will take this weekend off to
do maintenance on the racecar and all equipment and enjoy the NASCAR Truck
Race at ORP Friday as well as the rest of the Brickyard 400 festivities.
CHECK BACK SOON TO SEE WHEN &
WHERE “THE TREE CITY TORNADO” & THE WEE 3 RACING TEAM WILL BE AT NEXT!!! The Original “TREE CITY TORNADO” ran 2 races in the last week. It all started at the ¼ mile high-banked clay oval of the Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield Ohio on Saturday night July 10th. J.T. was fast early in Hot Laps and would end up 4th in his Heat Race to transfer directly to the 25 Lap A-Main. There were 28 good race cars in the pits on this night. Stapp would start 12th in the 20 car Feature event driving the Wee 3 Racing Team Stealth with SAC Power. J.T. tried to avoid an opening lap crash in turn 1 when Lewie Christian and Thomas Meseraull went flipping with Christian’s car landing on Stapp’s hood. It ripped off the right front shock tower but that didn’t stop The “Tree City Tornado” from restarting the race. He would restart on the tail after the Wee 3 crew removed the mangled right front shock. J.T. passed 4 cars in the opening laps until he went high in turn 3 to avoid a slowing car and was hit from behind glancing the right front tire off the guardrail and flattening it. Stapp pulled into the pits and finished a frustrating 18th. J.T., Josh Sweat and the Wee 3 Racing Team got the car fixed and ready for a special mid week show at the Twin Cities Raceway Park in Vernon Indiana. This has been a good track for Stapp. It started off well a decent qualifying run and a 5th place finish in his Heat Race to transfer to the 30 Lap A-Main. There were 24 strong race cars in the pits but only 20 would be in the Feature. J.T. would start the Feature in the 13th position and would have to avoid a first lap crash as Brett Burdette spun right in front of Stapp. They would both restart the race in their original starting spots. J.T. would maintain inside the Top 12 for the first half of the race until he was pinched into an infield tire marker by a car driven by Jared Harris. This would end his night since the car would no longer steer with the bent drag link and tie rod. J.T. would end up 19th and looks to rebound this Saturday night. This Saturday July 17th The “TREE CITY TORNADO” will be in action at the ¼ mile high-banked dirt oval of the Mt. Vernon Raceway in Mt. Vernon Illinois. J.T. and the Wee 3 Racing Team are currently 2nd in Driver and Car Owner Points in the American Sprint Car Tour. This will be the first visit for Stapp or the ASCT to the facility. CHECK BACK SOON FOR RACE RESULTS AND UPDATES!!
The Original “TREE CITY TORNADO” was in action on Friday and Saturday night July 2nd and 3rd. It all started with the American Sprint Car Tour event at the Union County Speedway in Liberty Indiana Friday night. J.T. ran 4th in his heat race which put him in the 8th starting spot for the 20 Lap A-Main. The ASCT Feature went without a single caution for the 4th time this season as Stapp advanced to finish 5th. J.T. as always was driving the Wee 3 Racing Stealth with SAC power under the hood. The “TREE CITY TORNADO” is still 2nd in current ASCT Points just a few markers out of the lead. The Wee 3 Team of Jeff & Josh Sweat are also 2nd in Owner Points. Saturday night J.T. returned to his home track of the 3/8 mile semi-banked clay oval of the Twin Cities Raceway Park in Vernon Indiana. Stapp had a strong start to his heat race as he went from his 5th starting spot to 2nd as the field went down the backstretch on the opening lap. Coming into Turn 3 on the 2nd lap J.T. was hit from behind and spun by Joss Moffatt this led to the car of Pat Gliddens hitting the Wee 3 car in the front and bending the axle among other things. J.T. would like to thank Josh Sweat, Tim Kelley, Riggs Racing Team, Steve Thomas, and his Dad for all their help and hard work to get the car ready for the 25 Lap A-Main. Stapp would start 15th and end the Feature in 9th. This was the 10th Top 10 of the season for the Wee 3 Racing Team with J.T. behind the wheel. “THE TREE CITY TORNADO” will be back in action this Saturday night at the 1/3 mile high-banked clay oval of the Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield Ohio. This will be J.T.’s first trip to the Northern Ohio facility.

The Original “Tree City Tornado” was back in action this past Saturday night June 26th at the Clay County Speedway in Flora Illinois. J.T. had a strong 2nd place finish in his heat race despite having to drive with one arm for the majority of the race due to the car not staying in gear. This finish was good enough to put him in the 6 Lap Dash where he finished 5th and that is where he would start the 25 Lap American Sprint Car Tour Feature event. Stapp maintained the 4th position for much of the race and ended up 6th when the checker flag dropped on another green to checker A-Main. It was the 3rd ASCT Feature to run without a single caution this season. This was J.T.’s 8th Top 10 of the season and his 6th place run also earned him the Earl’s Indy “Tough as Steel” Award for the highest finishing steel block sprinter. “The Tree City Tornado” remains 2nd in the ASCT Point Standings driving the Wee 3 Racing Team # Wee 3 car heading into this weekend. J.T. will be in action this Friday night July 2nd at the ASCT event at the Union County Speedway in Liberty Indiana. “THE ORIGINAL TREE CITY TORNADO” was in action this past Saturday night June 12th at the American Sprint Car Tour event at the ultra fast ½ mile slightly-banked clay oval of the Freeport Raceway Park in Freeport Illinois. The night started off with J.T. setting track record times in Hot Laps. In the Heat race he was racing for the lead going into the 1st turn when the right rear torsion arm broke sending J.T. into the fence and turning the car over once before coming to a rest on its wheels. Stapp walked away unhurt and the car has been almost completely repaired in preparation for the next American Sprint Car Tour event on Saturday night June 26th at the Clay Co. Speedway in Flora Illinois. This will be J.T.’s 2nd trip to the facility this season where he finished 9th last month and Won with the SCORA Sprint Car Series last season. This race replaces the previously scheduled race at the Scott Co. Speedway in Scottsburg Indiana. ASCT hopes to reschedule this race as well as the originally scheduled event for Friday June 18th at the Midway Speedway in Crooksville Ohio. “THE TREE CITY TORNADO” as always will be driving the Jeff & Josh Sweat Owned Wee 3 Racing Team # Wee 3 Sprinter. SEE YOU AT THE RACES!! CHECK BACK SOON FOR RACE RESULTS AND UPDATES!!
The Original “TREE CITY TORNADO” was in action Friday night for the American Sprint Car Tour event at the Montpelier Motor Speedway in Montpelier Indiana. J.T. has raced there many times with the UMRA T.Q. Midgets but this was his first time gassing a Sprint Car around the tight ¼ mile bullring. The night started off well with a 3rd place run in his heat race which was good enough to make the Dash. Unfortunately with approaching thunderstorms the Dash was cancelled and he would line up 5th for the 25 Lap A-Main. The event was cut short to 15 Laps due to persistent showers making the track very greasy and unsafe to race on. Stapp would end the night with a 7th place finish. It would be his 7th Top 10 of the season. The “TREE CITY TORNADO” is still in a tight point battle in the American Sprint Car Tour standings. J.T. is just 10 points behind Aric Gentry for the lead heading into this Saturday night. His Car Owners Jeff & Josh Sweat of the Wee 3 Racing Team are also 2nd in the ASCT Owner Points just 10 markers behind Aric and Larry Gentry. J.T. and the Wee 3 Racing Team will make the long 6 Hour trip to the big ½ mile slightly banked dirt oval of the Freeport Raceway Park in Freeport Illinois. This will be Stapp’s first trip to the facility and he is looking forward to racing on a big track again.

Sunday night Stapp raced at the 1/3 mile semi-banked clay oval of the Fayette Co. Speedway in Brownstown Illinois for the 2nd time in 2 weeks. The night started off with a 7th place finish in his heat race. J.T. would start 13th in the 25 Lap A-Main and end up 10th when the checkered dropped. The Original “TREE CITY TORNADO” was back in action Saturday night with the American Sprint Car Tour event at the Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown Kentucky for the “Bluegrass Shootout.” J.T. had competed there with the MSCS Sprints back in 2003 and finished 4th in the A-Main. The night started off with a 4th place finish in his 8 Lap Heat race. He would line-up 7th for the 20 Lap A-Main that went green to checker. J.T. snared the Indy Race Parts “Hard Charger” Award as well as the $100 bonus for the Earl’s Indy “Tough as Steel” Award for the highest finishing steel block Sprint Car for his 5th place run in the A-Main. Stapp is now atop the ASCT Championship Point Standings with Blake Nimee. They are deadlocked at 570 Points apiece. Jeff & Josh Sweat and the Wee 3 Racing Team are tied for the lead in the Car Owner Championship Standings with Robert Kammerer and the #79 car. The first night of the “Bluegrass Shootout” was rained out on Friday night at the Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City Kentucky. The “TREE CITY TORNADO” is looking forward to a big doubleheader weekend in Illinois. It will start off this Saturday night May 29th at the Clay Co. Speedway in Flora Illinois. This is where J.T. took home the Feature Win last year on Memorial Day Weekend with the SCORA Sprint Car Series. He will try to go for another Win with the ASCT.
Sunday will be a return trip for J.T. and the Wee 3
Racing Team to the Fayette Co. Speedway in Brownstown Illinois. Stapp lost
the handle on the car late in the Feature 2 weeks ago and ended up 10th

to go for a Win this Sunday! CHECK BACK SOON FOR RACE RESULTS AND UPDATES!!
The Original Tree City Tornado was in action last Friday Night May 14th at the Fayette County Speedway in Brownstown, IL. This was the 2nd race of the year for the American Sprint Car Tour. The day started off rough for the Wee 3 Racing Team with 2 breakdowns along the way to get to the race track. J.T., Josh Sweat, and the rest of the team made it to the track after Hot Laps were complete and only had 15 Minutes to unload the car and get ready to race. J.T. would finish 4th in the 2nd heat race right on the bumper of Mitch Wissmiller. Stapp would start 6th in the A-Main and remain inside the Top 5 for the first half of the 25 Lap feature event. The second half of the race there were many yellows and close calls to dodge, but J.T. brought the car home with another Top 10 finish with a strong 10th place run in the 19 car field. “The Tree City Tornado” is 2nd in the American Sprint Car Tour Driver Point Standings heading into this weekend. The Wee 3 Racing #Wee 3 is currently 2nd in Owner Points. The race for last Saturday night May 15th at the 24 Raceway in Moberly, MO was cancelled due to heavy rain and will be rescheduled soon. This weekend J.T. and the Wee 3 Racing Team head south to the Bluegrass State for the first night of the “Bluegrass Shootout” at the 3/8 mile semi-banked D-Shaped red clay oval of the Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY on Friday night May 21st. The Original “TREE CITY TORNADO” was back in action this past Saturday night May 8th at the Twin Cities Raceway Park in Vernon Indiana. This would be the series debut for the American Sprint Car Tour. This is the series that J.T. also promotes. The night started off strong for Stapp driving the Wee 3 Racing #Wee 3 Sprinter. J.T. would start in the 5th position in the 2nd heat race and was in 3rd after only a lap as the yellow came out. J.T. got a great restart and drove around the #57R of Danny Williams Jr. for 2nd place heading into turn one. He took another lap to run down the leader going into turn 3 and would do a slide job to take the lead from the #2H of Dallas Hewitt. J.T. would lead the rest of the way until a slide job from Dickie Gaines coming into turn 3 lost the lead for him but Stapp would dive back under Gaines coming to the start/finish line only to get beat by a foot for the Win. The Tree City Tornado was the Top finishing Steel Block Car for the night which was cut short by a stock car flipping over the turn 3 wall and taking out 30 feet of catch fence. This was unfortunate as J.T. was ready for a strong run in the A-Main but the event was cancelled before it could be run.
The “TREE CITY TORANDO” will be back in action with the American Sprint Car Tour this Friday night May 14th at the 1/3 mile semi-banked clay oval of the Fayette County Speedway in Brownstown Illinois. On Saturday J.T. and the rest of the American Sprint Car Tour will go west into the Show-Me State to race at the ultra fast 4/10 mile high-banked clay oval of the 24 Raceway in Moberly Missouri. This will be Stapp’s first trip to Moberly but not his first time racing in Missouri as he competed in the inaugural indoor Midget race at Kemper Arena in Kansas City in 2008.

Saturday night Stapp headed to the Legendary Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg Indiana for his first try on the 3/8 mile high banked clay oval since the track was enlarged in 2007. J.T. and the Wee3 car took to the new surroundings well but narrowly missed the transfer spot in the 8 Lap heat race.
